My latest offering comes from the work we have been doing on Australian history.
It is important for people living here to know the history behind important symbols, such as our country’s flag. It is also important that people are given access to factually correct information. It is all too common to find activities about life in Australia that are full of wildly incorrect generalisations (has ANYONE ever ridden a kangaroo to school?!)
So this is my small way of contributing something that is not only reliable and factually sound, but also (hopefully) a little bit of fun, including designing your own flag, and a couple of word puzzles thrown in.
And here is my question for you. What is the most amusing misconception you have heard about your own country?
